It remains the single most disturbing artifact of the most famous haunting in American history…and here’s a great, short video that reveals it.
AmityvilleNow.com doesn’t focus exclusively on the story of the the Lutz haunting at 112 Ocean Avenue, but we certainly can’t ignore it, either – not with a URL like this. So when we stumbled on this clever and clear video about “The Amityville Boy” we had to share.
Ashley Hall’s The Paranormal Guide is a cool site for “all things strange, dark, macabre, bizarre and the paranormal,” brought to us via articles, discussions, and videos. And one of his videos is about the shadowy form of a young boy, captured in a single photo of an upstairs landing in the Amityville house shortly after the Lutzes fled.
“In 1976, professional photographer Gene Campbell set up a camera on the second floor landing of 112 Ocean Drive, Amityville, NY – the location of the DeFeo murders two years earlier,” Ashley wrote in this post. “Many rolls of film were exposed, all showing nothing out of the ordinary, except for this one frame. Is this the ghost of John Mathew DeFeo?” You be the judge …
