Pretty damn close. AMC’s new post-apocalypse proto-medieval series that’s all murder and intrigue has a lot to recommend it, including great production design, a relatively fresh execution of an increasingly familiar set of tropes … and the fight scenes. Incredible fight scenes that seem to draw inspiration from video game as much as stage combat. And even better: there seem to be at least a couple of them in every episode.
