As ManCaveDaily.com reminded us recently, the idea (and ideal) of a female Thor isn’t exactly new. The deservedly legendary Metal Bra Enthusiasm Toni Darling, as well as the equally legendary Blake Northcott took this pic together a couple of years ago. So who does Marvel think they’re foolin’, anyway? (And Toni’s done some amazing photo shoots in this costume since then.)

(By the way, Blake did a kind of amazing thing last year: she launched a Kickstarter campaign for her novel, Death or Attrition, the second book in the Arena Mode saga, which was set to include illustrations by a wide range of Marvel and DC artists. Her goal for the campaign was $7,500. She ended up collection more than $30,000, and that was after her online publihsing success with the first two book in the Arena Mode sagao.
